About the channel
I'm Dr. Eric Westman, an internal medicine physician, obesity medicine specialist, and Associate Professor of Medicine at Duke University. For more than 25 years, I've helped patients improve their health through evidence-based nutrition. I'm the founder of Adapt Your Life Academy, author of End Your Carb Confusion, and have published more than 90 peer-reviewed scientific papers on low-carbohydrate nutrition, obesity, diabetes, and metabolic health. Whether you're just getting started with low-carb, following a ketogenic or carnivore approach, trying to find your personal carb threshold, or using a GLP-1 medication as part of your metabolic health journey, you'll find practical, evidence-based guidance to help you understand the tools available, when they may be appropriate, and how they fit into improving your long-term metabolic health. My goal is simple: to help you improve your health by understanding what works, why it works, and how to make it work for you.
