About the channel

African Movie Channel (AMC) was incorporated in the UK in 2005. The company is headquartered in London, with its Africa office and studios in Lagos, Nigeria. It started operations in April 2006, when it launched Europe’s first channel dedicated to top quality Nollywood and other African movies. AMC currently operates two 24/7 premium Nollywood channels; one Pay TV channel - African Movie Channel HD (AMC HD), and a FAST channel - Nolly Africa HD. AMC HD plays out of our London Playout centre and is distributed on various Pay TV platforms around the world on StarTimes, StarSat, TopStar, Azam TV, AzamTV Max and ENet TV. Nolly Africa HD is distributed globally on numerous FAST/CTV platforms including Freeview, Samsung TV+, LG Channels, V (VIDAA), Whale TV+, Plex, TCL, Rakuten, Xiaomi TV+, Mansa, Cineverse, Orka TV, StreaMix. Our original productions division (AMCOP) produces hundreds of movies and thousands of hours of unscripted content annually. We are Distinctly African.
