About the channel

Named after Robert Jones' book of lute songs, A Musicall Dreame is a collaboration between soprano Alison Hill and lutenist Yair Avidor. The duo's imaginative programmes focus mainly on Elizabethan lute songs by John Dowland, John Danyel and Robert Jones, alongside 17th century songs for voice and continuo (played on the theorbo) by Henry Lawes, Robert Johnson and Henry Purcell. Their rich and evocative repertoire consists of some of the most beautiful songs in the English language, ranging in themes from love songs, metaphysical meditations on Time and Nature to songs created for the theatre and mad scenes. http://www.lutenist.co.uk/#/a-musical-dreame/4588459137
