About the channel
Amara Nritya Kala Hansa (ANKH) aims to create the process of movement through the Kathak grammar with a dynamic exchange between the world and the active perception of an individual, by thinking in the technical attributes of Kathak dance and bridging it with the concept of modernity. We focus on training, understanding, questioning and a dynamic exchange between the Guru and the Shishya, thus keeping the tradition of the Parampara alive. The training is in both applied and abstract practices within the Kathak dance form, and the aim is to highlight the resilience of the form through rigor and discipline in changing times, and the transformation of the students into performers.
