Welcome! I’m Cade, a self-taught professional guitarist who's been teaching and playing on stage for 20 years. I've also spent the last 10 years daylighting as a university English professor. What does that mean for you? SELF-TAUGHT → I swam upstream in the deluge of online learning resources, and I made it out alive. STAGE EXPERIENCE → I’ve spent more than 1,500 hours making music with other professional musicians. ENGLISH PROF → I'm obsessed with clear and effective communication, and I take pride in my ability to make abstract ideas feel concrete. I focus on the WHYs behind music so that you can learn songs easier and—more importantly—COMPOSE and IMPROVISE with confidence and intention. If I can get a group of college freshman to care about grammar, I can get you to care about music theory. Just give me a shot.
