About the channel

I enjoy hiking/backpacking adventures, and watch a lot of YouTube videos to learn from actual people that have hiked and lived on the trail...and quickly learned there is a BIG difference between camping and backpacking-in with your gear on your back. I am also creating videos using various software packages. For video editing, I've used Shotcut, OpenShot and DaVinci Resolve. In my opinion, DaVinci Resolve has them all beat. Once you learn the fusion nodes mechanics, it is extremely powerful. The videos are not professionally mastered...just me on a learning curve. In addition, I'm also in the process of learning Unity, Blender and Gimp software for game development. I was fortunate to have a game published back in 1985 and have recreated it with today's game engine (Unity). My HO train layout is my current hobby of choice. This will be an ever growing process that I am so glad my wonderful wife, Angela, suggested I get back into. Please feel free to subscribe.
