About the channel

CHAMP-ION is advancing Europe’s leadership in ion-trap quantum technologies by establishing a sustainable pilot line network for high-quality ion-trap chip production. The initiative connects the full value chain, from design and microfabrication to testing, enabling scalable ion-trap chips with integrated electronic and photonic features. By creating Europe’s first open-access pilot production capabilities and developing advanced Process Design Kits (PDKs), CHAMP-ION supports innovation and accelerates the transition of quantum technologies from research to industry. CHAMP-ION, the European Ion Trap Pilot Line, is supported by the CHIPS JU, Horizon Europe and the National Public Authorities of the partners involved in the Framework Partnership Agreement Grant No. 101233101 and Specific Grant Agreement 1 Grant No.101288915.
