About the channel
Codename One is a commercial company and open-source platform that turns Java into native applications across mobile, desktop, TV, cars and watches, with web/PWA, AR and VR support. On Apple platforms, Win32 and Linux, ParparVM translates reachable Java bytecode to C and each platform toolchain links a self-contained executable. Windows builds produce x64 and Arm64 from one build. Linux produces x64/Arm64 ELF binaries compatible with GLIBC_2.17 and musl/Alpine. A non-trivial Linux GUI app fits in about 5 MB; Windows ranges from about 4 MB for hello world to 8 MB for the full Initializr. Targets include iOS, Android, native Windows/Linux/macOS, browsers, Apple TV, Android/Google TV, Apple Watch, Wear OS, CarPlay and Android Auto. This channel covers ParparVM, rendering, native ports, build tooling and real applications.
