About the channel
Jazz Journey started on January 15, 2024 - a guitarist with 20+ years of beginner-level playing deciding to finally get serious. This channel documents that journey: learning bebop, transcribing solos, exploring jazz history, and building a real understanding of music theory through the greatest music ever recorded. Videos include jazz history deep-dives, rare live footage breakdowns, chord melody studies, and a weekly jazz standard series. Influenced by the masters - Charlie Parker, Lee Morgan, John Coltrane, Art Tatum, Grant Green, Peter Bernstein.
