About the channel

My name is Donny Gillies, I've been a freelance artist/designer/maker/painter for over 20 years. Some of my clients include Metallica, Vans, Stern Pinball, Snap-on tools and Dunlop guitar picks to name a few. I work from my home studio in California and travel frequently for my art. I also have a few art books out, the newest "Pinball Wizards and Blacklight destroyers" can be found in the links below. One of the things my art is most well know for are the Metallica, Aerosmith and Can Crusher pinball machines. The drawings I do are ink on paper, the way it was done back in the day for comics, pinball machines and rock posters. I also airbrush, paint with acrylic and oil, build stuff, paint cars/bikes and film. That is still not to say the computer comes in handy from time to time;) Donny TV is my weekly variety show featuring Travel, Art, interviews and lifestyle/pop culture and some giveaways.
