Dr. Praveen Mirdha, Professor, Department of English, Government Girls’ College, Ajmer, is M.A. English (Gold Medalist) & M. Phil. (ELT) from Banasthali Vidyapith, Banasthali and Ph.D. on Joseph Conrad’s Fiction from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. She has authored a book Madness: Perspectives and Representations in the Fiction of Joseph Conrad (2016). Her research papers on Partition Fiction of the Indian Sub-Continent, Cultural Exoticism in Joseph Conrad’s short-story ‘Amy Foster’, Women’s Voices in the writings of Indian women novelists/short-story writers, Terrorism and Madness, Human Rights Texts and Diasporic Imaginaries in literature have been published in various anthologies and international journals including Journal of Literature & Aesthetics. She has presented papers at International Conferences/Seminars. Her literary interests include women’s writings, travel writing, cross-cultural writings, comparative literatures, translation studies and Bhasha literatures.
