About the channel

This Channel explores what happens when society becomes less culturally literate and loses touch with the great art of the past. The whole range of Western culture is used to demonstrate how paintings, cinema, and literature can illuminate our sense of life's deeper meaning. "Textual healing" is seen as a cure for our media-saturated, screen-dominated age . The aim is to provide fresh insights using old culture without soundbites or pre-digested chunks of material. Large literary projects are therefore tackled in their entirety: A regular Book Club devoted to Proust's masterpiece "Remembrance of Things Past"/"In Search of Lost Time" takes place twice a month as a Livestream and is available afterwards in the "Live" section. All 24 book of Homer's "The Odyssey" will be examined along with useful background information. #books #literaryanalysis #philosophy #theodyssey #homer #proust #remembranceofthingspast #insearchoflosttime #artphilosophy
