Electroimpact has developed modular head based composites processing system. Process Heads are fully self contained. Singular head can be used across multiple cnc machine and robot based systems. Automated modular heads quick change take less than 90 seconds to complete. Modular process heads can be: 1. Automated Fiber Placement (AFP), (16 tow, 8 tow and 2 tow variants for 1/8", 1/4", and 1/2" material forms) 2. Automated Tape Laying (ATL), 3. Ultrasonic cutting, 4. Pick and Place and material handling heads 5. Dimensional inspection and probing heads. Many other custom process heads have been developed or can be developed for custom material forms or processes.
