(NL) De Frits Bayens Bigband, opgericht in 1975, heeft zich onder het inspirerend leiderschap van Frits Bayens in de afgelopen 50 jaar ontwikkeld tot een bigband van professioneel niveau. De band is samengesteld uit zeer ervaren muzikanten met een grote passie voor jazz. In 2020 heeft Frits het stokje overgedragen aan Jasper Staps en sinds september 2024 staat de Vlaamse Lieven Cambré aan het roer. (UK) The Frits Bayens Big Band (FBBB), founded in 1975, has developed into a professional-level big band over the past 50 years under the inspiring leadership of Frits Bayens. The band is composed of highly experienced musicians with a great passion for jazz. In 2020, Frits handed over the reins to Jasper Staps, and since September 2024, the Flemish musician Lieven Cambré has been at the helm.
