The Sailing Ship Project 🇦🇹

About the channel

Welcome aboard Flying Coney! We're Barbara and Daniel, and together we're restoring Flying Coney, an 82-foot historic steel sailing ship, with the dream of one day sailing her around the world as a traditional schooner brig. Our videos don't just show the finished results. We share the challenges, the setbacks, the lessons we learn, and the small victories that keep us moving forward. Along the way, we explain the techniques, tools and decisions behind the restoration, giving you an insight into traditional shipbuilding, metalworking and the craftsmanship involved in bringing a historic vessel back to life. Whether you're passionate about historic ships, craftsmanship, engineering, traditional sailing, or simply enjoy ambitious projects with a good story, you've come to the right place. Subscribe and become part of the Flying Coney Crew as we work together to bring this remarkable ship back to life.
