About the channel
So what’s this about food heritage? Everyone and place has it. We’ve defined and for decades promoted awareness of this important but overlooked subject which includes food memories, food historic sites, and food museums. The Global Food Heritage Center encompasses all our food heritage projects, endeavors and The Food Museum’s collections and educational programs. Let’s just take the lemon, as an example. It has a place of origin, of course, seemingly northeastern India, as well as places where it has taken root, spread, and had an impact. Your grandmother's recipe for lemon meringue pie is an example. Anyone remember Fannie Farmer’s cookbook? Her recipe via that cookbook is part of your personal food heritage Global food-themed places help us to understand food stories and preserve them for future generations. Because that's what heritage is all about, the tangible evidence of the past preserved and passed on to the future. Take a look!
