About the channel

Welcome to the Grumblesea Archive, a living collection of lost songs, forgotten artists and imagined musical histories. A conceptual multimedia project from Paul Dibbens, the Archive explores the hidden currents of Anglo-American folk, rock and popular culture through songs, stories and recordings that feel as though they have been waiting decades to be rediscovered. Using the possibilities of AI, these lost sounds can finally be brought to life and shared freely, not as replacements for musicians, but as a means of exploring memory, literature, history and imagination. Each recording is a fragment from a wider world: a faded tape, an uncertain provenance, a forgotten voice, a story waiting to be heard. The songs form the official soundtracks to the fictional worlds, lyrics and novels of Paul Dibbens. The Grumblesea Archive is where lost stories and songs at last find their voice.
