About the channel

Welcome ladies and gentlemen, girls and boys! My name is Ian Strange, AKA ianardo, and I'm a self-taught pencil/crayon artist from the UK. I hope I can inspire you to draw more, and maybe enhance your natural talents. My techniques are different from many other artists, so you might learn something new. It is fun, not only to make art that looks real, but when it also conveys a story or some emotion. I launched this series of videos in October 2019. Note that I use a height/tilt adjustable table when drawing. This helps to prevent neck or back problems after hours of drawing. I've been drawing since I was 2 years old (1968). My "ianardo" nickname was given to me at school back in 1981. This name had already been taken when I originally joined Youtube, hence the rather cocky sounding title that I picked (just for fun) long before deciding to launch my own videos.
