About the channel

IHE is an initiative by healthcare professionals and industry to improve the way computer systems in healthcare share information. IHE promotes the coordinated use of established standards to address specific clinical needs in support of optimal patient care. Systems developed in accordance with IHE Profiles communicate with one another better, are easier to implement, and enable care providers to use information more effectively. IHE International is recognized by International Organization for Standardization (ISO) as an International Standards Profiling Organization that works with industry experts' worldwide to harmonize the use of multiple health IT standards and develops detailed implementation guides to design standards-based interoperable health IT products. IHE’s Technical Frameworks provide an implementation guide and IHE Profiles to implement worldwide.
