About the channel
I’m Jared Thomas Tapy, a photographer, educator, and documentarian based in New York City. This channel is dedicated to the craft, philosophy, and process of photography, not just how to make better pictures, but how to see better. Through cinematic essays, POV street walks, and educational deep dives, I explore the art of visual storytelling, creative discipline, and the humanity behind the lens. Here you’ll find: 🎞️ Crafting a Photograph — lessons on composition and process. 📚 Life Through the Lens — stories of legendary photographers. 🧠 Marks of the Maker — my philosophy and ongoing projects. 🎙️ The Creative Connection — honest conversations about creativity today. If you love street photography, photojournalism, and creative growth, you’re in the right place. Subscribe for weekly videos that explore not just photography, but what it means to truly see. 📸 Instagram: @jaredtapy
