About the channel

Hi and welcome! My name is Laura, I am a cosmology and astrophysics PhD student from the UK who moved to New Zealand. This channel is dedicated to my journey into academia and hopefully a motivation for others! I am AuDHD (autistic and ADHD) so this stream helps to keep me accountable and focused on the tasks I need to get done, so join me for some body doubling! I work in a shared office and will sometimes have to go to meetings, talks and seminars, but you get to see what my real workday as a PhD student looks like! Doing my PhD means I did my 3-year undergraduate at university, decided to do another year to get my Masters, and then decided to keep studying for my PhD! Rest, hobbies and connections are just as important in life, and I will always promote that! Come and study with me on my livestreams, giving you the motivation to get started on that work!
