Welcome to Lost 80s Radio – your portal into the weird and wonderful world of rare and experimental 1980s synthesizer music. I’m addicted to the sound of 80s synths and have spent years collecting rare vinyl from around the world. Many records are little known outside their home countries – and often not even within them. Here you’ll find lost gems from the early days of electronic music: Afro Synth, Italo Disco, Zouk, Boogie and Highlife. Some of these tracks laid the foundation for future genres like house, kwaito, and amapiano. Most tracks are original 1980s pressings, carefully digitised in lossless format with pops and clicks removed. Expect both individual track showcases and mixes.
