About the channel
I'm a 58-year-old outdoorsman from Alberta (Canada). I share over 40 years of lessons with my fans, some of which have been learned the hard way. I'm into long-distance wilderness backpacking, canoeing, kayaking and general outdoor pursuits. I post videos of many adventures, but what I'm really passionate about is backpacking alone. I tend to do less popular hikes because I like to get away from people and challenge myself. I also post the occasional gear reviews and "how-to" videos on outdoor skills. I'm a professional engineer by training. NOTE: Sales representatives, manufacturers, stores, etc. are free to send gear for evaluation, but this does not guarantee exposure within a full length trip video or a dedicated review video. If you send a good item (and I end up using and liking it) there's a high probability it will be featured in a trip video or review video.
