Navy Cadences

About the channel

**This is NOT an official channel of the U.S. Navy. Any content here does NOT reflect the views or policies of the Navy, DoW, or any other official government institution.** This channel was started by a junior enlisted Mass Communication Specialist with a lot of Navy pride and a passion for military cadences. Marching and running cadences in the U.S. Navy and other branches serve as a vital tool for synchronizing troop movements, maintaining morale, and fostering a sense of teamwork. The use of cadences in the American military dates back to the Revolutionary War, where they helped coordinate actions like musketry fire. While many cadences are shared among the services, the Navy has its own unique versions that reference naval life, ships, and traditions, helping to build camaraderie and connect new recruits to the branch's long-standing heritage.
