With strong musical influences like Etta James, Ray Charles, Mary J Blige and Stevie Wonder, you would expect Midian's sound to be strictly soulful R&B. Yet with influences such as the Fugees, Tupac, Jay-Z, Biggie Smalls, and Kanye West, she has an undeniable hip hop rhetoric. Since she was a young girl, Midian's angelic good looks garnered interest from modeling agencies. She began to make a splash with appearances in magazines and on television. Music happened upon her accidentally it seemed, and she would inevitably turn to sounds and rhymes. Her brand new single "Bitter" was featured on VH1's "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" in July 2012.
