Anastacia (born Anastacia Lyn Newkirk; September 17, 1968) is an American music singer-songwriter. She has been highly successful around the world outside the United States. Started her career in in 1990 as back-up singer, she gained her first break in 1992, singing on BET's ComicView. In 1993 she released two songs "One More Chance" and a collaboration with David Morales called "Forever Luv". She rose to prominence with her hit singles "Not That Kind" in 1998 and "I'm Outta Love" a global smash hit in 1999. Her debut album, Not That Kind, released in 1999 which was a massive hit throughout Europe and Oceania placed her among the industry's elite and had biggest Australian single of 2000. She was awarded 'Best-selling International Artist' in 2000 and became one of the top singers of the decade. Making her one of the fastest and biggest-selling artists of the early new millennium.
