About the channel

Welcome to the channel — a place for unhurried, authentic outdoor adventures across East Anglia and beyond. Most journeys begin with a canoe, but you'll also find bikepacking trips, woodland camps, hiking adventures and the occasional longer expedition further afield. Whether it's a single night under canvas or several days on the water, the aim is always the same: travel simply, slow down, and spend proper time outdoors. Alongside the adventures you'll find traditional canoe-building projects, including a complete wood–canvas canoe build, cedar strip canoe restoration work, and a look at my self-built camper van. Trips are filmed as they happen — weather, quiet moments, wrong turns, problem-solving and all — with a focus on real-world outdoor skills, practical gear, calm storytelling and a little dry humour along the way.
