Narrow Gate Farm is the name of our 11 acre homestead in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. See Matthew 7:13. The name fits both our Catholic lives and the literal narrow gate at the entrance of our farm. The definition of "rugged" is the ability to survive or operate reliably in harsh environments and conditions. Ruggedize Your Life is about not merely surviving but thriving no matter what life throws at you. It is not about being superhuman. It is about developing the skills, wisdom, and tools that once were common and teaching the next generation how to live an abundant , faithful life.
