About the channel
Running After 60 addresses issues affecting older runners who are physically active. My name is Tom. I'm 66. After a 30-year hiatus from running, I began running again at the age of 62. I created a 9-week plan similar to a Couch to 5K and completed it on New Year's Day 2022. This channel will cover topics such as training for racing (and for fun), race strategy, injury prevention and treatment, longevity, comeback training, cross-training, strength training, run/walk/run method, 80/20 running, noncompetitive running, aerobics, and simply running for fun. This channel also includes "day in the life" videos focusing on my own training and racing. When I was a "middle-of-the-pack" high school and college runner, I was privileged to have several coaches, including an Olympic steeplechaser (Mike Manley) and an accomplished race walker (Bob Gray). Even if I didn't compete, I would still enjoy those easy aerobic training runs. Have fun running!
