About the channel
Do you ever think about how technology can shape our future? Have you ever considered how new technologies are developed? Technologies play a central role in bringing about our desires for a better world. They are key instruments of social progress. They represent the frontiers of both our understanding of the world as it is and our creativity in imagining the world as it could be. Some technologies service our day to day lives, expanding what we are capable of doing, while other technologies operate behind the scenes, nearly invisible, but without which our modern world would not be possible. On this channel, you will find a collection of concepts from an Arizona State University graduate course, PAF547, that examines the political, economic, cultural, and moral foundations of science and technology management and governance. Science and technology are often viewed as the most powerful transformative forces in the world today.
