About the channel

Shimtah (심타 or 心打, "heartbeat") is the one and only Korean traditional percussion (poongmul 풍물 & samulnori 사물놀이) group at Cornell. Formed in 1999, we hope to share traditional Korean folk music with the Cornell, Ithaca, and Upstate New York communities. Anyone of any background is welcome to join! No prior experience necessary. Practices held Saturdays 4:30-6:30pm in Lincoln Hall B20 on the Cornell campus.
