Welcome to The End Grain Workshop — a place where sawdust is free, measurements are “close enough,” and every project is a lesson learned the hard way so you don’t have to. I’m Rick, a retired Army vet, contractor, and lifelong tinkerer who believes the shop is the best classroom there is. On the channel, I focus on practical woodworking, shop builds, jigs, tool mods, and DIY projects that actually get used — not just admired on Instagram. This channel isn’t about perfection. It’s about problem-solving, building smarter, and enjoying the process (even when the “supervisor” is watching from the doorway). I share what works, what doesn’t, and the occasional “well… that was dumb” moment, all with the goal of helping you build with confidence.
