About the channel

Hi, I’m Atta. I’m a working voice actor with a passion for science. The Quiet Observatory is where I make cinematic, contemplative documentaries. Dying stars. Deep time. The hidden machinery of life on Earth. If it’s doing what it should, it should feel like a late-night visit to a planetarium: one human voice, a dark room, and a true story about how the world works. I've narrated audiobooks for Penguin Random House and HarperCollins, and documentary films for National Geographic and the BBC. But this channel is personal. It’s simply the work I’ve wanted to make for a long time. New films, regularly. Sources are included in every description. The observatory also lives on Substack: every episode as audio (just the music and the voice, no screen), for when you'd rather listen than watch. Slower, ambient versions made to fall asleep to. And a version with just my voice. No music, nothing else. One door, several rooms. You'll find the link below.
