About the channel
Welcome to The Scottish Detectorist Metal detecting and the history of Scotland — two of my greatest passions. Join me as I search the fields of Scotland for lost history and buried treasures, uncovering coins, relics, and artefacts from Scotland’s incredible past. From ancient farmland to historic landscapes, every signal tells a story — with occasional trips over the border into the countryside of England. This channel features: • Metal detecting in Scotland • Scottish history & archaeology • Treasure hunting adventures • Real finds and real stories A huge thank you to Regton Metal Detectors, proudly sponsoring the channel since 2022. Thanks also to everyone who has supported me through Buy Me a Coffee — your support helps cover filming equipment, microphones, travel, and production costs and is hugely appreciated 🙏 👉 https://www.buymeacoffee.com/Visitscotland You can also find me on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and my other YouTube channel as 👉 VisitScotlandTours
