The Lost Species 🇺🇸

About the channel

The Lost Species explores the extinct animals whose stories are being rewritten by modern science. From ancient DNA recovered from mammoths to fossil proteins preserved from dinosaurs, each episode investigates what researchers have discovered about the creatures that once walked the Earth. Every story combines genetics, paleontology, and evolutionary history to answer a simple question: what can science still reveal about species that vanished thousands or even millions of years ago? We follow the evidence, examine the discoveries, and uncover what these lost animals can teach us about life on our planet. No speculation. No sensationalism. Just the science behind Earth's most fascinating extinct species.
