About the channel

La Comunidad del Trombón Founded in 2018, the ¨Trombontepec¨ trombone ensemble brings together trombonists from some of the best professional orchestras in Mexico. The suffix "tepec," in the ancient and still current Nahuatl language, means "place or hill"; therefore, Trombontepec is "The community of the trombone." The ensemble has been active in Mexico for the last four years, offering recitals in different parts of the country. The group has grown to become an octet that has learned how to take advantage of the infinite possibilities that the trombone offers as a concert music instrument. The ensemble varies its formations from trios, to quintets, sextets and certainly, octets. Committed to the dissemination of music for this instrument, the ensemble has already made several premieres in Mexico of original works for trombone ensemble.
