WCAX-TV is Vermont's Own, founded here in the Green Mountains of Vermont to serve the region with the most and best local news, weather and sports coverage for Vermont, North Country New York and the Upper Valley. Everyday we cover the most local stories in the most local newscasts, from the most local journalists working across Vermont and the region. The First Alert Weather Team alerts you first to keep you safe, our local sports team made up of multiple-time Vermont Sportscasters of the year is on the ground across the region sharing the stories of local sports from high school to the pros. The WCAX Channel 3 News is the most-honored, with more regional Emmys, regional and national Edward R. Murrow Awards, and a Peabody Award, than any other local newsroom, all to carry on the legacy started when our team of Vermonters climbed the state's highest mountain and brought TV to the region in 1954.
