About the channel
Why You Should Play is a channel for thoughtful, scripted game reviews — made for players who value honest, considered critique over endless livestreams and reaction content. We focus on titles worth celebrating, while still calling out their flaws. Expect carefully written, narrated reviews covering modern consoles like Switch and PS5, alongside cult classics and lost gems in our WYSP Retro series. Occasionally, we’ll spotlight games to avoid in Why You Shouldn’t Play — not for cheap negativity, but to keep things honest and balanced. If you miss the days of relaxed, personal, well-made gaming reviews, you’ll feel at home here. Have you enjoyed my content and want to show your appreciation? Send me a tip via Ko-fi here: https://ko-fi.com/wysp_gaming 📺 What You’ll Find Here: 🎮 Scripted, in-depth game reviews 🕹️ Retro & nostalgia-focused videos via WYSP Retro 📈 Performance comparisons and frame rate testing (where appropriate) 🎨 Discussions of game art, music, and storytelling
